Bio
László Gulyás, born in 1972, is the deputy head of the Institute of Industry-Academy Innovation at the Faculty of Informatics, Loránd Eötvös University. He is also an Associate Professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the same institution. Earlier, he was the Budapest Node Director of EIT Digital, responsible for Central and Eastern Europe.
His professional history of 20+ years has been divided in about equal parts between higher education, research and ICT business practice. His mission is to bring cutting edge scientific results to the market and vice versa.
After receiving his PhD from Loránd Eötvös University, Budapest, he worked at the same institution, at Harvard University, at the Computer and Automation Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA SZTAKI) and at the Central European University. He also held management positions at various startup and SME companies. Dr. Gulyás has authored 80+ articles and comanaged a series of successful technology projects with EU and national support.
