Bio
Dr. Zoltán Istenes is an Associate Professor at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Faculty of Informatics, in Budapest. He holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Nantes, France. His teaching and research interests include artificial intelligence, robotics, IoT, UAVs, and autonomous systems.
Dr. Istenes plays a key role in academic program development, serving as the coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Intelligent Field Robotic Systems (IFRoS) in Hungary and the EIT Digital Master School Autonomous Systems major in Budapest. He has supervised numerous MSc and PhD projects, contributing to national and international curriculum development.
As an active member of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT Digital), he has led and participated in multiple innovation and research projects, bridging academia and industry. His work focuses on integrating deep-tech research with applied education, fostering entrepreneurship and technology-driven innovation.
Dr. Istenes is dedicated to advancing intelligent systems education, ensuring students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in emerging AI and robotics technologies.
