DiGA refers to Germany’s framework of “digital health applications” eligible for prescription and reimbursement. Under this scheme, certain CE-marked apps (class I or IIa) can be prescribed by doctors and covered by statutory health insurance, provided they meet requirements for data protection, interoperability, usability, and evidence of positive health effects.
