Introduction to Session-based Detection of User Behaviour and Emotions

This course explores how session-based detection of user behaviour and emotions can be used in an educational context and how feedback can be provided to users. We will use an example of an application designed to improve the communication skills of health professions students used in a clinical appointment setting. The application uses different modalities to analyse student communication, such as facial movement, body language, and speech analysis. After completing the course, students will understand how session-based detection and feedback can be applied in a real-world educational context.
