Introduction to Access Control 1

This online course introduces the foundations of the system security through lens of modern operating systems and Linux environments. Over 10 weeks, students explore key topics including operating system principles, process management, memory protection, shell usage and scripting, authentication mechanisms, access control models, and Linux-specific features such as ACLs and capabilities. The course combines theory with hands-on practice through quizzes and labs, enabling learners to understand how operating systems enforce security, manage resources, and protect against threats. By the end, students will be equipped with both the conceptual knowledge and practical skills required to analyze and secure system-level environments.
